Hey y'all,
 For the past 7 months, I with the help of phenomenal mentors and peers have been brainstorming on how to make the idea of this organization come to life! If you know me you know I love anything and everything outdoors and have played A LOT of sports. From the ages of 5-17 I have had the opportunity to be apart of numerous teams. I found being apart of a team was one of the most influential experiences for myself and it has taught me valuable skills like communication, hardwork and leadership. It also gave me coaches and teammates who resembled a family! That's why when thinking of a way I could help out our community I immediately thought about being a Team Player. I decided my target audience would be children who have been adopted or are currently in the foster care system. After researching I found that there are just over 400,000 youth currently in the foster care system in the U.S. and only 34% of those children are placed with relatives or next of kin. I realize children that grow up in this environment miss out on opportunities I have taken for granted like playing sports and having a team. Or some may just feel out of place in need of a team that shares their own experiences and struggles. So my goal for this organization is to show these children the same joy I have received through being apart of a team. Lets have some fun!
